FIRE AWARENESS TRAINING

 

A course designed for all members of staff.

 

This course will provide employees with greater fire safety awareness and is designed to increase their confidence in the action to take in case of a fire occurring.

 

The course includes the theory of combustion, causes of fire and the correct way to tackle a fire.The Fire awareness Course is approximately one-hour long and will be conducted at your location to minimise disruption to your staff.



FIRE MARSHALL TRAINING

 

Aim

 

To provide employees with the Knowledge and Skills required to use fire-fighting equipment and tackle a fire in the early stages in order to prevent disastrous consequences to production, employment, cashflow and even more importantly to the danger of loss of life!

 

Please find detailed below the cost for our training, which is consistent with the Fire Safety Order 1 2005.

 

Cost

 

Fire Marshall Training – 2 Hour Session to include Workbooks, Re-fills (Fire Extinguishers)Test at the end of the Session and a Certificate for each Delegate. Up to 15 Delegates

Objectives

At the end of the Session Delegates will be able to:

  • Explain Fire Legislation
  • Identify the correct equipment to use on, the different classes of fire.
  • Illustrate the new colour-coding consistent with BS EN3
  • List what steps to take in the event of a fire.
  • State How and Why fires spread.
  • Demonstrate how to use the different types of Fire Extinguishers
  • Develop awareness of Fire Safety Advice
  • Assist or direct visitors or members of the public from the workplace.
  • Explain:
    • The evacuation of disabled people
    • The location and use of escape routes
    • The location of a nominated assembly point
    • The awareness of human behaviour in fire
    • Fire drills and the reporting of faults, incident.

The training of employees in what to do in the event of a fire, the keeping of records to show training has been given to whom and by whom is required by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the new Fire Safety Order and a Fire Risk Assessments..
